Rook (I'm almost 100% certain that I've "mis-gendered" HIM - He's so friggin' furry and his boy bits are just tiny, but I'm pretty sure he's a he now...) was around. He was investigating while I was posting these pics, but I never got a good shot of him checking it out.
There was a little sticker on the back panel and both of my kitties assisted in removing the glue residue from the glass.
I feel bad in that I keep calling him a "good girl" or "my girl" or some such. I'm trying to break the habit (like he cares!) and call him a "good boy" but it's hard.
soon enought they'll both be "its," so no worries about changing gender in communication. as long as you feed them, scoop the box, and let them glue off glass, they don't really care.
GB-have you noticed if your fluffer duffers/kids have different meows? austin, my boy kitty, has a very raspy meow. dakota, my girl kitty, has a dainty girly little meow.
Well, Rook is the only one I've actually heard GROWL. When I first gave him the octopus with bell toy, he toted it around like a puppy with a bone and if I even LOOKED at him, he flat out GROWLED at me. Funny stuff.
Other than that, Rook rarely vocalizes beyond purring anymore. Bishop still "meows" to beat the band, particularly when I first get home in the evening. It's odd, since as very little kittens they were exactly the opposite.
Rook still purrs CONSTANTLY if he's anywhere near me, unless: A) I'm between him and food. B) The continuous wrasslin' match between he and Bishop is on rather than off. C) That octopus is nearby.
GB-how cute is everything you wrote?!?! such distinct personalities your fluffer duffers have. my boy is my purrer. just look at him and he starts purring. is he really ~that~ happy, or does he have a "short" in his system? but then again, he came from, what i was told, an abusive situation, so maybe just the site of a push-over mama makes him much happier than life before 1 year old. neither are super big talkers except when we all get in the car and then austin does not shut up, and it's miserable sounding. but i know kitties that will "talk" your ear off when you get home from work.
funny how rook is so possessive of the octopus, to the point of growling! i've never heard mine growl except at the v-e-t or when another fuzzy creature may be within 20 feet of them.
your babies are SO sweet and i bet they are 3x bigger than when i saw them in july. give them both kisses from auntie b and tell bishop to pull up that sock! ;o)
An old guy who you would find boring.
Special skills include:
Ability to eat a whole pizza in a single sitting, regardless of size;
Amazing taste in comic book related apparel;
My cleverest moments invariably occur when there's no audience.

So, where's Rook? Is she busy supervising or is she just not interested in construction projects?

My little helpers...
Oops! Does that mean that we should start referring to them as "the kids" instead of "the girls"?
Yes, kids love to help....

Yeah, I guess they're "the kids" now...
Messing with the one brain cell that cats have has always been one of my favorite hobbies!!!

Yeah, calling Rook a "Pretty Girl" is probably easier than uttering the words "Pretty Boy".
But, at their age, they don't even know about boys and girls. Once they are "fixed", they still won't know.

Rook is just like your "boy".
Never really stops. Purrs pretty much constantly, even in his sleep, unless he's pukin' on my pillow.
Even when I pick him up when he's trying to run away, still purring.
I don't think his purr-er is broken, but he's gonna end up out of warranty by mileage, not time.
Well, after what Bishop put him through with the catnip mouse, I can't blame Rook for feeling possessive of HIS toy. I think a growl is in order.
Max was my purring kitty. The others, not so much. Most of their "talking" occurs because I'm not getting food into their bowls fast enough!
Does Bishop's pose in that last picture make anyone else's back hurt? Ouch!
Bishop is definitely a Twist-O-Kitty.
